kayi holige recipe | coconut puran poli | kayi obbattu | kobbari obbattu is the famous dessert for some part of india like tamilnadu, kerala and andhra. its very delicious and cook easily with simple ingredients. in my hometown it called as obbattu and it usually sell by street shoppers mostly. children like this sweet very much also it is healthiest one. mu mom always used to make this poli every function and she has three more verities also. we may post other verities in upcoming uploads. try this at your home and make any festival, something special.Author:kitchen indya

Ingredients
- maida or all purpose flour -1 cup
- jaggery/ powdered sugar-1 cup
- salt-1 tbsp
- ghee-2 tbsp
- coconut shredded-2 cup
Procedure
- take 1 cup of sieved maida flour(all purpose flour), 1 tbsp of salt in to a bowl.
- mix it into pliable dough and adding water little by little
- with prepared dough ,make some small balls
- now take a ball and flatten by using hand or chappati maker
- heat a heavy bottom wok(kadai) adding 2 tbsp of ghee
- after 1 minutes add 2 cups of freshly shredded coconut in to the wok
- at the stage of brown fry add 1 cup of powdered sugar
- mix well till it thickens and switch off the flame
- make into small sized balls and place into a plate,now the coconut puran(stuff) is ready
- take the coconut puran(stuff) place on the middle of the dough and start covering
- gently gather the edges to the middle and pinch to cover the stuffing completely
- dusting enough all purpose flour,roll it very slowly by using chappati maker
- you can roll it to medium thickness.
- set a griddle on heat on medium flame and place the puran poli and sprinkle some ghee.cook for a minute on each side
- set aside on a plate
- now the coconut puran recipe is ready to serve
