Brinjal Thokku Recipe

Ingredients:
  • Brinjal – 1 cup
  • Oil for fry
  • Tamarind – small piece
  • Red chill – 4
  • Asafetida/Hing – 1 tsp 
  • Salt to taste
  • Mustard – 1
  • Urad dal – 1 tsp
  • Chana dal – 1 tsp
  • Garlic – 1 tsp
  • Curry leaves

 Instructions:

1. Take a pan for fry the brinjal. Heat the pan and put one cup of brinjal then add oil for fry. Add small piece of tamarind, red chilli, asafetida and salt to taste. Then fry well.
2. After fry the ingredients grind well and make paste.
3. Take another pan and put oil for fry, add mustard, urad dal, chana dal, garlic and curry leaves then sauté well.
4. Add grinded paste into it then fry well 10 to 15 minutes until it completely dry. Now the delicious brinjal thokku is ready to serve.
