Water pumpkin – 1 cup
Dal (cooked) – 1 cup
Oil for fry
Mustard – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Small onion – ½ cup
Curry leaves
Tomato – 2 sliced
Red chilli powder – 1
tsp
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Coconut – 2 tbsp
Green chilli – 2
Garlic – 2 tsp
Clove – 2
Cinnamon – 2
Fennel seeds – 1 tsp

Instructions:

1. Take a tawa for cook water

2. Add oil for fry, then add mustard, chana dal, Urad dal and small
onion half cup and saute well
3. Add curry leaves, two sliced tomato and saute well
4. Add red chilli powder, turmeric powder, water pumpkin one cup, salt
as per taste and add water for cook
5. Cook 5 minutes, then add one cup of cooked dal then allow cooking
for 5 minutes
6. meanwhile prepare the masala, take a mixture jar put coconut, green
chilli, garlic, clove, cinnamon and fennel
seeds, add water and blend smooth
7. Add prepared masala then allow cooking for 5 minutes.
8. Now the tasty and delicious water pumpkin kootu is ready to serve
