Maida burfi is the dessert commonly make at festival time. it is very easy to cook with easily available ingredients. maida (all purpose flour) mostly used flour for make all types of sweets. likewise maida burfi also famous sweet in tamilnadu. main highlight is the sugar is sprinkled on top of the burfi and this sugar melt partially when burfi in hot. here the detailed ingredients and instruction for making maida burfi. watch the video for demo.

Ingredients

maida or all purpose flour -1 cup
powdered sugar-1 cup
colour powder-1tsp
curd-1/2 cup
sugar -1cup for syrup preparation
oil for fry

Procedure

sugar syrup recipe

firstly in a wide pan take 1 cup of sugar for making sugar syrub
add 1 cup of water into the sugar
boil the water and sugar with low flame for 5 minutes till the sugar turns into slightly sticky and brownish
after turn into thicker cover and keep that aside

burfi recipe

take 1 cup of maida flour (all purpose flour) in to a bowl
add 1 cup of powdered sugar,1 tsp of colour powder and mix well
add 1/2 cup of curd make them into a dough
split the dough into a small small balls or require size of small portion as you want
by using chapatti maker spread small balls into a rounded one
cut the rounded one into sliced portions by using knife
heat the oil on low flame to medium flame and when they it is moderately hot ,fry the sliced portion
fry the sliced portion on low flame stirring in occasionally
fry till the sliced portion turns into golden brown
after taking out from oil immediately,drop the burfi into hot sugar syrup
boil the sugar syrup when you add the fried burfi
cover the lid and rest for 1 hours
finally the tasty and yummy maida burfi is ready to serve. it is delicious recipe mostly like by children.
