Ingredients
- 1 cup chana dal/kadle bele
- 3 red chilli, dried
- 2 inch ginger, grated
- 3 pieces of garlic ,chopped
- 1tsp Cinnamon
- 1tsp fennel
- 2 onion, finely chopped
- 3 green chilli, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp coriander leaves, finely chopped
- 3 tbsp mindleaves, finely chopped
- few curry leaves, chopped
- salt to taste
- oil for deep frying
instructions ( 1 cup
=250 ml)
1. soak washed chana dal
in good amount of water for 1.5 hours
2. drain off the water
and leave it for 10 minutes.
3. Transfer the dal into
a blender and Add 3 red chilli, 2 inch ginger, 3 pieces of chopped garlic ,1tsp
of Cinnamon,1tsp of fennel
4. blend to coarse paste
without adding any water
5. now transfer the
coarse dal paste into large mixing bowl
6. add in 2 onion ,3
green chilli, 3 tbsp coriander leaves , 3 tbsp mind leaves, few curry leaves
and salt to taste. combine them well.
7. furthermore grease
your hand with oil and prepare small balls, flatten the vada and deep fry in hot
oil.
8. also stir occasionally
till the vada turns golden and crisp.
9. finally, serve the hot masala vada
