Beetroot Chaps Gravy for chapati | beetroot gravy

Ingredients

  • oil for fry
  • onion - 4 nos
  • tomato - 7 nos
  • beetroot - 6 nos
  • green chilli - 4 nos
  • coconut - required qty
  • cumin seeds - 1 tbsp
  • fennel seeds - 1 tbsp
  • curry leaves - few
  • turmeric powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • red chilli powder - 1 tbsp
  • pepper powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • coriander seeds powder - 1 tbsp
  • salt - as required

Instruction

1. take a cooker and put oil for fry the ingredients
2. add sliced onion and green chilli in it and allow to fry well
3. add sliced tomato and mix well
4. add spices like turmeric powder, red chilli powder and masala/ coriander seeds powder.
5. add beetroot and salt then mix well
6. add required quantity of water and allow to cook in steam for five to ten minutes.
7. take a coconut and fennel seeds and grind well
8. after that take a pan or kadai, put oil in it.
9. after heating of oil add cumin seeds and curry leaves.
10. after fry add cooked beetroot ingredients and allow to cook
11. add coconut paste and cook for five minutes in steam.
12. finally add pepper powder and switch off the flame.
13. now the tasty beetroot chaps gravy ready to serve..
