Ingredients
Dal – 1 cup
Oil for fry
Mustard – 1 tsp
Chana dal – 1 tsp
Urad dal – 1 tsp
Onion – 1 chopped
Green chilli – 3
Curry leaves
Tomato – 3 sliced
Banana flower - 1 cup
Turmeric powder – 1 tsp
Red chilli powder – 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Tamarind water – ½ cup
Coriander leaves
Instructions
1. Heat the pan and put oil for fry
2. Add mustard, chana dal, urad dal, onion, green chilli, curry leaves and sauté well. Wait for brownish.
3. Add sliced tomato, banana flower and add water. Cook for ten minutes.
4. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder and salt to taste.
5. Add cooked dal and cook for five minutes. Then add half cup of tamarind water and cook for ten minutes.
6. Temper with coriander leaves. Now the delicious and tasty banana flower sambar is ready to serve.
