     chikki recipe | peanut chikki recipe | groundnut chikki or shengdana chikki with detailed photo and video recipe. it is one of the famous and traditional indian sweet recipe prepared with brown or sticky jaggery and roasted peanuts. generally chikki’s are termed to groudnut chikki but it can also be prepared with sesame seeds, puffed rice and even beaten rice. Peanut chikki is most favourite dessert/ sweet for all and it most popular in south India especially tamilnadu. basically the brown jaggery’s are sticky which helps to bind the peanuts and gives a good glossy shining look to peanuts chikki. It is very simple to make with simple ingredients. Ingredients

  • Jaggery – 1 ½ cup
  • Roasted peanut – 1 cup
  • Ghee – 1 tbsp (for roast peanut)
  • Water – ½ cup

Instruction

1. Take a pan and put ghee then allow to heat
2. Put peanut and roast well until it turns light brown then kept separately and peal off the skin.
3. Take another pan and put jaggery and water
4. After dissolve the jaggery with water stir well until jaggery melts and it convert into semi liquid state (jaggery syrup).
5. After jaggery syrup is ready put roasted peanut and mix well
6. When it getting thicken pour into pan and allow to cool
7. After cool cut into pieces and serve.  store in a airtight container and serve for a month.
